I probably should have submitted that, but here's what I wrote:
My work is about looking for boundaries that relate to my existence, feeling them for texture, form and solidity, asking others about them and then leaning in, sometimes leaping off. I don’t go looking for new boundaries, I’m mostly curious about the ones that give me my shape and luckily much of the human experience is universal. I find boundaries to be curvilinear, rather than geometric. The points of direction are infinite. As a result, I find myself moving off into lots of different directions. That is my disclaimer: styles, subject and media may vary…widely. In any case, I’ve recently spent a lot of time exploring the respective areas of gender, the intersection of the surreal and the banal, and recycling.
